FAQS

Accident & Repair Frequently Asked Questions

Involved in an Accident?

1. Who is responsible for the repair bill?

The vehicle owner is. However, the insurance company has a legal obligation to pay for repairs. You typically pay your deductible, and the insurance pays the rest. You can sign a “Direction to Pay” to authorize them to pay Atlantic Auto Body directly.

2. Do I have to go where the insurance company directs me?

No. It is your legal right to do business with the shop of your choice. We work with all major insurers to ensure your car is repaired to factory standards.

3. How many estimates do I need to get?

None. There is no law requiring multiple estimates. If you leave your vehicle with us, we will supervise the insurance appraiser and ensure they write a fair estimate for your repair.

4. Can you explain the claims process?

Contact the insurance company and get a Claim Number. Once you have that, give it to us. We handle everything from there, including the appraiser and rental car arrangements.

5. How long will my car be in the shop?

We provide a target date at drop-off. Within a few days, after parts are ordered and insurance additional damages are confirmed, we will update you with a firm completion date.

Payments & Warranty

Are my repairs warrantied?

Yes. We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all workmanship. We guarantee repairs against defects unless caused by unreasonable use. Just keep your original receipt!

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash, and Insurance Company Checks. Deductibles are paid directly to Atlantic Auto Body at the time of vehicle pickup.

Quality & Finish

Will the paint match after repairs?

Absolutely. We have made major investments in the finest paint systems and computerized technology to match factory finishes across multiple layers of specialized paint.

What other services do you offer?

While your car is here, we can also arrange for Glass Service and Alignment Service. Just let your adviser know what you need.
